The "Maquisard" Wrecking Crew Killed it this Weekend!!!!!

Maquisard filming weekend came and everybody KILLED IT!!!! The film is about a 2nd American civil war on an alternate timeline. I play Sergeant Karl "Hutch" Huber, German Kommando Spezialkrafte. I am part of a United Nations recon team made up of Lieutenant Ali Abdulrahman. Kuwait 25th Commando Brigade (Wali Habib), Lance Corporal Naomi Basson 44
Paras, South Africa (Birgit Ludermann), and Lance Corporal Marcus Wright of her
Majesty’s 22 SAS Britain (Cameron Davis). In our mission we come across an American rebel named Joe (Lexi Lee).

Maquisard is written and directed by Kurt Claridades and produced by Varun Verma.

The shoot was SICK!! We filmed in a ghost town called Boron all weekend. Boron is about 2 hours north of L.A. and was the perfect setting for the film.

Everybody was a blast to work with. I'm so proud to be a part of this film. We all had a blast!!

"Maquisard" immersion day!

  Training day for the film "Maquisard" was a great time! We trained today for 5 hours in military tactics from some extremely skilled military tacticians. i.e. how to properly advance and retreat in a hostile environment, clear rooms, clear hallway, etc. We also learned the proper military formations and terminology used in all of the above scenarios.
  This production is going to be a blast to film! The producer and director are working right now on the permits to film in an abandoned town 3 hours north of Los Angeles. Hopefully things work out for that location. If not, there are some back ups that sound equally incredible.
  I can't wait to film with everyone. It is going to be a ton of fun lighting the fields up with these crazy bastards!!
  Until then I will be researching more into the military tactics and language we've already learned and fine tune my German accent.

Bill Doherty Jr. gets cast in the short film "Maquisard"

I am proud to announce that I have booked the role of Sergeant Karl "Hutch" Huber, German Kommando Spezialkrafte. I am really looking forward to working on this project. It is definitely my kind of role. I am playing the loose cannon in a military group. I specialize in combat engineering and heavy weaponry. We are team 5 recon in a United Nations group in an American civil war.

I am really looking forward to exploring and bringing this character to life. It's a role I can really sink my teeth into and have a blast with. It is going to be so much fun to get into the head of this guy. I have the craziest feeling that I am going to be a total mental case starting a couple weeks before the shoot date walking in this guys shoes. GOOD TIMES!!
